A 34m Euro project will see major improvements to the riverside and port at Tulcea. Three quarters of the cost will be met from EU funds.

The project will make embarkation to boats easier for passengers as well as enhancing the promenade as a visitor attraction. The waterside promenade is already a popular feature of the town.

The aim is to improve the infrastructure to enable an expansion of tourism in the Danube Delta area.

We have memories of crossing boats to get to other boats and welcome the developments which should take place over a two year period.

Waterfront buildings were given a facelift just over a decade ago.
